Dino World!

Sunday turned into one of those days where we just wanted to get out of the house and go somewhere. Not to Target or the pool, but somewhere we just haven't been.

Dinosaur World in Glen Rose, Texas was the place we visited and we had a great day!

Oh no, my sweet boy is being eaten!!! lol

It was a warm 93F degrees when we went out there, even the dinos needed to get a drink of water.
Look at those long necks.
You ever get that feeling that something is about to happen??

C saw a resemblance between the dino and L in this picture

Snack time. Lil C enjoying an apple slice.

After snack L got the chance to dig for fossils. He could keep his favorite three found. He got a sharks tooth, a piece of amber and a Sting Ray tooth.

This is DQ Country!!!

After the Dinosaur World fun we treated the boys to some ice cream. I love that every small town still has a Dairy Queen. Yum!

This was Corbin's face when he found out we were stopping for ice cream...

The Chisolm Trail

The Chisholm Trail was a trail used in the later 19th century to drive cattle overland from ranches in Texas to Kansas.

On our drive home we saw an outdoor museum of sorts honoring one of the stops of the Chisolm Trail in Johnson County.

Apparently this stage coach was used in a John Wayne film

A saddle on display in the old saloon.

Pics I took for fun and to work on my photography skills during our drive.
