Swim class

L's taking swim lessons through the city. We tried to teach him ourselves, but he just wouldn't listen. Now he has a cute teacher that he pays attention to. ;)

She is actually very sweet and good with the kids.

Going to the farm!

Ham's Orchard is a family farm and market. You can pick your own fruits and shop in their down home country store.

We got some strawberry bread, a small piece of fudge, Strawberry and Peach ice cream and Dr Pepper in a glass bottle. :)

the cobbler...
the fudge...
We saw this on the drive home and I had to take a photo. Whose ever seen a drive-thru beer barn store?

Thank you, Oma!

Thank you Oma for sending the German books to L.

Although he is not quite happy about continuing to study German over Summer Vacation, we have assured him it is for the best. ;)

One Last Hurrah!

L's big end of school field trip to the park was an absolute blast and one that Lil' C could enjoy with him.

We started at the huge playground at 10:30

Then a picnic lunch at noon...

and the Splash park at 12:30.

Finally at 1:30 it was time to head home. I was exhausted, but L said he was wide awake. Go figure. ;) If I were a kid I would have said today was a pretty perfect day.

Feeling Creative

So I found this tool box at a garage sale last Fall. I knew I wanted to do something with it, fill it with kids toys or art supplies, but just didn't get around to it.
So yesterday I broke out the paint and got to work.

Begining project

I've been looking at some pictures of Greece and
was inspired by the cool blues and greens.

I decided to add the cool green on the side to balance out the insides of each bin

Award Ceremony

L had his Kindergarten Award Ceremony in his class today. We were very proud of him and all that he has learned over the last year.

His teacher presented him with his Kindergraten diploma, several Excellance certificates in Science, Math, Writing and Reading. A few local restaurants also gave each of the students free food. He was awarded a free ice cream voucher from one and a free meal from another.
